"Come and See"

John 1:46

"The words of welcome and invitation that come from Phillip to Nathanael about Jesus continue to drive evangelism in the church.  It is still a message about who we are and whose we are."  Pastor Bill Diehm

We would be honored by your presence, not only at worship, but also at any of our mid-week activities and events.  It won't take long before you experience a welcoming and caring group of individuals who are Living God's Love.

WORSHIP SERVICE TIME

Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

(Attend via livestream below, Sundays at 8:30 only)

What To Expect

Central to our worship life is the presence of God through word and sacrament. The word proclaimed and the sacraments —both Holy Baptism and Holy Communion — are called the means of grace. We believe that Jesus Christ is present in these means through the power of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we describe worship as a “gathering around the means of grace.”

There is also a basic pattern for worship among Lutherans. We gather. We encounter God’s word. We share a meal at the Lord’s table. And we are sent into the world. But we do not think about worship so much in terms of what we do. Worship is fundamentally about what God is doing and our response to God’s action. Worship is an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our worship services are Traditional, with alternating musical themes, such as Jazz, Praise, Rhythm & Blues, Beatles,Folk and Traditional.  Hymns and music are played on an organ, piano or instrumentalists and led by our song leaders or choir.  Most services last around an hour.  We have a Nursery available at all times, with a certified childcare professional.

We look forward to chatting with you, over a cup of coffee after the service, during fellowship time.

Helpful Tips

Sunday Visitors:

  • There are two outside entrances into the sanctuary for Sunday morning worship, one at the northwest corner of the building with an awning and one at the southwest corner of the building with a ramp for handicap accessibility.

  • Visitors are welcome to enter the parking lot from North Broadway and park in one of the reserved spots immediately to your left.

  • There is an elevator on the ground floor which is easily accessible from the north entrance at the center of the building.  Please contact the church office, 330-725-8885, to arrange assistance.

  • Restrooms are located on the ground floor on the east and west ends of the church.

  • If you need assistance for any reason, please ask the friendly ushers in the narthex or any church member who will be happy to help.

Weekday Visitors:

  • Monday through Saturday the outside doors are locked.  To gain entrance during office hours go to the southwest Pearl Street entrance and ring the bell.  Please identify yourself when asked to do so.
